Ooh, I think this comment thread could turn in to big list of confessions from everyone!
Every child in my daughter's class had been given a sunflower seed to grown and had to bring their fully grown sunflower in on a particular day for a 'show and tell' thing in assembly. Except we forgot to bring ours in and I had to go home to fetch it and then walk all the way back to school with this huge sunflower in a pot - I got lots of funny looks on the way.
