Oh dear, there are so many. I often think if there was one piece of advice I'd give to a new mum it would be "be wary of the traditions you start"!
Saturday is fajita night. Sunday morning is warm choc croissants from the village shop. Friday is play date with best mates. If they're ill, nest of duvet and pillows on the sofa. End of term=drink and cake in a tea shop.
Birthdays - ice-cream for breakfast, birthday helium balloon, kitchen decorated with bunting, pile of presents on table for bday person, flowers on the table.
xmas - secret santa, the advent envelopes, choosing one special decoration every year for the tree...I could go on. But I won't. Great post Ellen! PS. Wish we had a decent fish and chip shop round here too!
