I used to have some cash and then it all got spent on school shoes.

I hardly dare whisper it, but that most expensive of seasons, Christmas, is fast looming up on the horizon. Hope that didn't make you splutter into your cup of tea, but it'll be here before you know it. Look at how fast the school summer holidays sped by - it'll be like that on wheels, fuelled by espresso.
So with that in mind, here are some money saving ideas for families that'll put a smile on everyone's face:
40% off Odeon Cinemas
This is a great offer which you can use for lots of family fun and entertainment - just don't blame me if you waste it on The Smurf Movie. Odeon cinemas are offering 40% off all tickets from now until 13th October. All you have to do is print out the voucher here and take it along to the cinema with you - you can also use it when you're booking online. You will need one voucher for each ticket you're booking, and you can use the discount for up to nine tickets in one go.
Wear Peter Andre's hoody!
Now this is something that isn't strictly speaking a discount offer, but I figure that we all need to buy clothes, and this is a way to do it and donate to charity at the same time. Great Ormond Street Hospital, with the help of Peter Andre, have launched a special charity hoody. 100% of the proceeds will directly benefit the children at Great Ormond Street. There's also a child-sized hoody here - a great way to introduce your child to the concept of charity gifts.
Voucher Cloud
Voucher Cloud is a money saving website with plenty of great family offers. All you have to do is print out one of the vouchers here, and you could be saving 40% at Pizza Express, or having a bargain day out at any number of farms or zoos all around the UK. There's also a free Vouchercloud mobile discount voucher app which you can download on to your phone so you can check for bargains on the go. The company reckons that iPhone users stand to save up to £500 a year - I guess the idea is that if you're out and about with the family you can easily check for a discount outlet near you. Bargaintastic!
Free healthy snacks with Graze
Graze boxes consist of little packets of healthy snacks, such as nuts, seeds and dried fruit which can be sent through the post direct to you. I've been getting them for myself for a while, and I've found it's a great way to get the kids trying something new - they love the special boxes and funny descriptions. You can try it out for yourself by using the code J9Q12KQ at Graze.com which will give you a free box and the second one half price (and you can stop after that, no questions asked).
£10 worth of free shopping to your door
Here's another code to help you out - use code OX3VWOHC the first time you shop at Milk and More (new customers only) you will save £10 off your first bill. The company's mainly known for milk deliveries, but they will also deliver a wide range of groceries including bread, fruit and veg and even pet food. You can order online up to 9pm the night before the milkman is due to call - I find it invaluable for when I've run out of stuff for tomorrow's packed lunch.
If you spot a great bargain that's good enough to share - tell us about it.
