Craft video tutorial: How to make a kite

With a bit of skill, tissue paper and the right wind behind you, you could soon be flying.

Craft video tutorial: How to make a kite

There's nothing like a bit of kite flying to let off steam but if you find yourself with a bored child, stuck inside because it's raining and windy then actually making the kite too might be just the activity for you.

Here's what you need:

  • Tissue paper
  • Crafting or florists wire
  • String
  • Scissors and glue
  • Sticks (must be straight) or thin plant supports.

If you have any questions about the craft please leave a comment below or tell us what your crafty kids are up to. Photo by Deb Webber.

I love this. It is absolutely brilliant and definitely something we could make (considering we're not very crafty!). Also love you nails again. I notice they are greeny blue this time :) Keep up the good work Debs.

What a great idea, and simple too. We will be giving it a go on the next windy day. Thanks, Deb

Oh thank you for your lovely comments - always feel a bit....vulnerable doing these videos!

And yes Rosie, my nails are a greeny blue. Thought I'd better go lighter as it's spring! Hahaha! How shallow am I?!
