Our third Christmas competition: Red Toolbox tools for kids

Competition now closed: This is the third and biggest of our Christmas giveaways: three brilliant just-for-kids carpentry kits from Red Toolbox, each valued at more than £100!

Our third Christmas competition: Red Toolbox tools for kids

Update: This competition is now closed. Our three winners are Jackie O'Neill, Phyllis Ellett and Helsbels.

In the third and final of our Christmas competitions, we're giving away three incredible carpentry kits from Red Toolbox. Ready for Ten is dedicated to helping parents make the most of the primary school years, and we can think of few better activities for parents and kids to share than making something together.

If there's a junior builder in your house, you won't want to miss out on this giveaway.

Real carpentry tools made especially for kids

Red Toolbox is a new concept offering sets of wooden carpentry kits complemented by tools specially designed to suit a child's grip.

The philosophy behind Red Toolbox is based on creating opportunities for parents and kids to work and play together. The step-by-step level system is ideal for helping kids develop and gain skills as they go, while working with and enjoying support from parents. Each level increases in difficulty and the degree of precision required.

An amazing gift for creative, hands-on kids

Each prize includes a work bench, a classic toolbox and a tool set.

The adjustable multi-purpose workbench provides a large, impact-resistant work surface with an integrated vice. It is mounted on a sturdy base frame and is easily folded and compactly stowed. Dimensions: 62x46x85 when open, working surface 60x44, adjustable height of 73 to 88 cm.

The toolbox is sized perfectly to fit all the tools in the kit. It's a solid case with an easy-to-grip handle for carrying around.

The tool set includes a mini hammer, 2x 2” clamps, a saw, a file and a screwdriver. These are all real tools made especially to fit a child's grip. Please note that for safety's sake, parent participation is required: these are tools, not toys!

How to win a Red Toolbox work bench, toolbox and tools kit

It's easy – all you need to do is comment on this post and tell us what you most want for Christmas. There's no right or wrong answer, of course, and the three winners will be drawn at random at 5:00pm on Wednesday 14 December.

A note on delivery: Please check your inbox on Thursday to see if you've won. If we receive your address by Friday morning, your prize should be with you by Christmas. (Alas Santa's reindeers are already booked this time of year, but Red Toolbox has generously offered to post the prizes express delivery.)

Peace and quiet.... I wish! I do like Julie's idea for snow at Christmas, then the roads are empty and everyone is rushing around trying to find or build a sled. That would be wonderful too.
