Watching the pennies on a new exercise regime means you don't have to bust a gut over astronomical gym costs.

I'll let you into a little secret. I've just cancelled a gym membership. I hadn't been in ages. What a waste.
So I'm delighted to see this week’s voucher round up is stacked with a selection of savings for fitness equipment and sportswear for you and yours. I've already made notes.
If you know you'd like to be fitter but aren't yet not confident enough to head out to a class or for a run in the park, DVDs can be a handy resource -- just think McCall, Callard and Cassidy. Okay, possibly not Cassidy as Natalie appears to have put most of it back on. Bless her.
Still, I've never lost it in the first place.
At home DVDs can be a real comfort when you’re finding your fitness mojo. Have a go at 2011’s top fitness routine by Zumba, now with 23% off the fitness DVD exercise kit at Amazon thanks to My Voucher Codes.
Gym sessions that don't cost the earth
If you don’t want to join the gym straight away then you can try out a fitness class out for free at Fitness First. You can also ask for a full consultation and tour around the gym before you sign up for anything.
Get yourself a free one day gym pass to a health club or club of your choice with this fab printable voucher from FitnessTV!
Access a free three day gym membership and health MOT at LA Fitness until the end of May. Don't forget to check out your local leisure centre for activities that don't cost as much as the big swanky gyms which you may also be able to enjoy together as a family.
Out and about...or not
If you fancy improving your fitness by cycling then Gumtree is a fab place to pick up a second-hand bike for next to nothing. Take a look at what’s on offer in your area. The best value activity of all is walking - it doesn't have to cost a penny and can become great thinking time. Or why not think about getting a dog so you have the excuse of walking your pet too? Dogs can be a more appealing option as a companion than other members of the family at times, can't they?
Or, if you like the idea of a home gym, you might like to know that you can save £30 off York Diamond cross trainer orders at Sweat Band Fitness.

Thanks for the great tips and handy voucher codes Linda.
I too cancelled my gym membership after the birth of my second child four years ago, as it was just not worth it for the one yoga class I could manage to get to a week. I have since joined a "pay as you go" yoga class which works out much cheaper, and as I work from home, I really appreciate getting out of the house for a bit of a change.
I think a fitness video is a great option for those who are not able to attend classes at specific times etc, and Zumba is one I've definately heard lots of positive things about.
